Role Description:
Software Engineer with a strong background in delivering Java based Server Side solutions. You will bring a depth of knowledge to deliver and integrate software to form a complete service experience across a wide variety of technologies, RESTful APIs, and software designs while supporting effective agile delivery. Specifically, your technical knowledge will cover technologies such as PostGIS, Java (SpringBoot, Spring Batch), Hibernate, cloud services (Azure), GIT, GIT Flow, and database design. Experience around Deployment, Debugging, Testing, Scaling, and Monitoring micro-services, event driven programming, and scalable interconnected cloud networks is desired
Delivery of daily supply of API - full supply
Delivery of user requested API's
Delivery of ETL pipelines
Monetisation of API & Download services
Access, authentication, and authorisation
Permission based user journeys
Experience Required:
Qualified to relevant degree level (or equivalent commercial experience) or
5+ years of hands-on experience of delivering Java based solutions into a Production environment
Demonstrable skills in Docker, Java, SQL, Database design, and Cloud services (Azure)
Very good track record in influencing key business & technical stakeholders
Demonstrable experience in problem resolution & selection of technical solutions & applications.
Experience in Spring Framework is essential
Experience in Spring Batch is highly desirable
Proven track record of working within an AGILE delivery team
Experience in monetising API's is highly desirable
Awareness of geospatial systems and technologies is desirable but not essential
