Description
My Global client requires one Senior / lead Java Developer to join their offices in West Yorkshire. There is an established development, test and architecture teams in place. The role will involve Greenfield & brown field projects, working in an Agile environment. In this senior position it you will be able to lead from example and be comfortable to mentor more junior members of the team ( 2-5 given the size of the project). This role is on a contract basis for 6 months, working in office Monday-Friday in Leeds.You will join a highly talented development team responsible for all aspects of support, development and maintenance of software systems and websites. There are also new Greenfield's projects which they are looking for support with, which can be discussed at interview stage.
This is for an initial 6 month contract ( extensions available) with attractive day rates. Candidates need to be able to start within the next three weeks.
Skills sought :
Strong knowledge of native Java EE & J2EE language and development.
HTML, XML, Javascript,
Junit, Jmeter
Websphere / ecommerce application server experience
Struts, REST webservices
Ecommerce / retail experience is essential
Working with International development teams & the challenges this brings
Desirable:
Agile and TDD experience
