Description

Role: QA Mobile Test Engineer

Location: Dublin

Role Type: Daily Rate Contract

Contract Length: 3-6 Months

Role Summary

Reporting to the QA manager, you will take direction from your direct QA lead and execute any test cases that may be assigned to you to validate the software under test.

You will have a keen interest in gadgets and mobile devices and be proficient in either the Anrdoid or iOS device operating systems, ideally both.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn i.e. they will have scored highly on any course examinations.

Attention to detail and a good eye for UI/UX anomalies are essential qualities for any prospective candidates.

Ideal Candidates should be able to demonstrate
  • A proven interest in the technologies mentioned, perhaps a completed project in the same/related technologies
  • Enthusiasm for learning new skills and adapting quickly to new technologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to take direction from their direct leaders and to be able to think beyond the current set of tasks in order to effectively and fully exercise any application under test.


Skills

Applicants will be expected to have knowledge of some or all of the following:
  • Java, C++, Objective C
  • SOAP/REST/JSON/XML/XSLT/XPath/CSS/WADL
  • Selenium (& Selenium Grid)
  • Appium and or Kalabash
  • Unix/Linux
  • Windows
  • The Atlassian application stack (Jira, Confluence, Stash)
  • Or other issue tracking system (Bugzilla,Redmine)
    • Git/Maven
    • SVN
    • Fiddler/Wireshark/Charles
    • ISTQB Foundation certified
