Role: UI Developer / UI / Java / Extjs / Backbone / Java Developer / Javascript DeveloperA leading telecommunications company are currently looking for an experienced UI developer on an initial 6 month contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity, whereby you will work on an advanced technical solution that enables some of the biggest operators to manage their networks.

The role:
This role will suit an experienced web software engineer with experience working on the front-end and back-end who is passionate about technology and innovation
This role will be 80% Front-end and 20% back-end
You will be responsible for building a new Web workflow tool/framework to browse statistical data, including visualisation of charts and providing complex querying mechanisms.
The developer will be responsible for developing stunning user interfaces
You will also be required to engage with key stakeholders both internally and externally to define the specific solution to be implemented.

Day - Day Role
- Design and develop User Interface part of applications, including both front-end and back-end.
- Specify, design, codify, test and communicate the technical design of the solution to key stakeholders. This includes creating high-level design artefact's, and the documentation required in order to describe the functional capability of features to stakeholders.
- Contribute for all aspects of user interfaces, work-flows and contribute to the framework architecture design.
- Work with users, product management, software architects and software developers to design world class user interfaces.
- Responsible for coming up with practical and innovative solutions to complex real world technical problems and also being able to communicate solution to internal stakeholders.
Skills, the must haves:
At least 5 years experience with Javascript with experience with Ext.js
Proven experience working with backbone
Experience working with HTML5
Experience working with Java and Spring ( Spring MVC, Spring Security)
Exposure to Restful Web Services
Nice to have / Desirable:
Exposure to any scripting language like Grails/ Groovy/ Python or Ruby
Experience working in a linux/ unix environment
Database knowledge i.e. SQL
Agile or Lean environment experience
