Description:
  • This position is responsible for the development and support of advanced data analysis software tools used in the data visualization and exploration of mechanical systems.
  • This position is more of a software programming position.
  • Primarily developing detailed and complex algorithms for the analysis and visualization of data, as well as providing programming services through the customer help desk and day-to-day activities in satisfying customer needs and analysis requests.
  • These tools include a full suite of time domain, frequency domain, statistical, structural, and fatigue life prediction analyses as well as engine emissions calculations and optimization.
  • Data visualization includes two-dimensional and three-dimensional curves, surface plots, and animations.
  • Responsibilities also include the development of GUI interfaces and plotting improvements.
  • User support and training on the use of these data analysis tools is also required to more than 3500 of the clients engineers worldwide.
SKILLS:

Minimal Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Agricultural, Civil, Electrical), Mathematics degree or related degree area (Engineering Mechanics, Physics, or Engineering Physics) with advanced computer programming skills (languages such as C, C++, or Java) is required in this position.
  • Engineering background who is also interested in programming.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Advanced (MS or PHD) degree in Engineering, Mathematics or related degree area with advanced programming skills.
  • Experience with DATK (Data Analysis Toolkit), PV-Wave is highly desirable.
  • Candidate must possess good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in C++, Java and MATLAB is highly preferred.
