Role: Contract Java Developer, Manchester
Daily Rate: £ Daily
Location: Manchester City Centre
Contract Length: 12 Months
OVERVIEW OF ROLE
I am recruiting for a very exciting client doing some cutting edge projects for a well-known global client in Manchester city centre. They offer an initial 12 month contract though on completion of the project it's very likely to lead onto other even larger projects - extensions expected. You will be tasked with assisting the development and delivery of bespoke web projects.
Your role will involve the development of large back end web systems and assisting writing RESTful web APIs. You will be working closely with another Java developer, 2 front-end developers, QA analyst and you will reporting into a technical architect and delivery lead.
THE SKILLS REQUIRED
Proven background in software development
Good object-oriented design practices
Advocate of test driven development with proven experience
Java/J2ee expert
Spring framework (broad experience)
RESTful Web Services JSON Tomcat/WebSphere
Postgres/Oracle
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Experience working with frond end technologies such as Javascript, ideally AngularJs and/or Node.js
HTML5, CSS3 Experience working with large back-end web projects
Agile certifications
