Senior Java Developer TradingOur client is a bank with international approach located in Zurich. The firm offers a very professional environment where you will have the chance to use your skills within an experienced team.
We are looking for a contractor/consultant to work within a small team that sits at the intersection of financial strategy and technology.
Tasks
- Participate in creating the intercompany trading platform
- Work close with traders, business analysts, and other developers to engineer low latency, high throughput trading systems
- create and improve the libraries and frameworks upon which the trading applications are based
- develop new tools and services
- interact directly with traders and strategists to capture business requirements and design innovative solutions
Requirements
- Several years of experience in Test Driven Development within Banking & Financial Services in a similar role
- Very good knowledge of JUnit and mocking libraries (e.g. Mockito), Core Java & related utilities/libraries, particularly collections, multithreading (java.util.concurrent.* package), JSON, JDBC, Maven, * Relational database modeling
- Very good skills in Object Oriented programming, interfaces, abstractions, dependencies, etc.
- Good knowledge of Spring Framework, JDBC templates and JPA, Messaging and JMS
- Experience in Hazelcast, Elasticsearch or ActiveMQ is a plus.
- Highly proactive, resilient and reliable personality
- Fluency in English (written & spoken)
