A Senior Java and Spring technologies Developer job has been created at this innovative firm in Malta, to work on a disruptive payment solution.
Utilising your expertise in Java and Spring Technologies, understand of the architecture, Testing methodologies, and decision parameters you will help this innovative firm develop cutting edge payment applications. You'll be no stranger to Java, Spring, NoSql Dba (Mongo Db/Cassandra) and have an excellent track records developing complex applications.

Work experience
- Been involved in system design and ideally architecture decisions
- Has worked on complex systems in distributed environments
Technical skills:
- Candidate should have in-depth knowledge and relevant experience in Java and Spring technologies.
- Candidate should have good knowledge and experience of relational DBMS (eg MySQL).
- Knowledge and experience in NoSQL databases (eg MongoDB, Cassandra) is an asset.
We expect you to have the following:
- Experience of using build tools similar to Maven
- Candidate with experience/knowledge in webservices, SOAP and REST
- Exposure to Selenium, JUnit and SOAP UI as testing framework
- Exposure to cards business and messaging formats
- Produce high quality work in everything you do
Project experience and architecture reasoning:
- Candidate should demonstrate that s/he has a sound understanding of the reasons behind these decisions and capable of applying similar reasoning to solve similar problems.
- Candidate should be well versed with the projects he/she had executed earlier.
Should be able to explain the architecture, Testing methodologies used, and decision parameters that were considered to arrive at using the technology/methodology/logic etc.
Soft skills:
- Has good mentoring experience and able to guide other less senior developers
- Very good communication skills. Able to express himself/herself clearly and is easily understandable.
- Challenge-driven, ability to take responsibility and works on own initiative
- Good team player
