Web Security expert
In the context of the fast evolution of distributed (Java/mobile) development technologies and tools, we are looking for a Web Security expert.
The Web Security expert will be part of the ITE Secure Development Team.
Role:
You will be responsible for the following duties:
- Supporting our analysts, developers and project leaders with security advice.
- Execute and/or organize security assessments (Web Application Vulnerability Assessments & Code Reviews):
- Record/update procedures and objectives
- Support and follow-up of the organizational process
- Act as a first point of contact for external partners
- Evaluate and/or prepare reports
- Managing security issues. What if you detect a problem? It is your duty to inform the person responsible for the application in question and to closely follow-up the case. You will also be in charge of reporting on these security issues.
- Supporting IT developers in their search for solutions to security risks and incidents.
- Arranging internal security checks of applications (usually based on the source code) and make them ready for Quality Assurance.
- Representing ITE in handling of security incidents:
- daily follow-up (including the registration of affected clients, suspicious IP addresses and illegal accounts)
- research into any emerging security risks
- participation in inter-bank meetings concerning secure Internet banking
- Providing input for new security measures (such as detection mechanisms).
- Training developers in security awareness.
- Establishing new development security guidelines and keep the existing ones up-to-date.
Education:
- Master or equivalent by experience
Languages Requirement:
- English: Fluent
- Dutch and/or French: Preferable
Experience:
- You have broad-ranging experience in the development of web applications.
- You have already carried out security assessments for web applications, preferably in the field of Internet banking.
Technical Experience:
- You are up-to-date on the latest developments in Internet banking: from programming languages and technologies to the standard tools and platforms.
- You've got a working knowledge of the main programming languages used in Internet banking: VB6, .net, C, Java, VBScript, JavaScript, ASP, JSP, HTML, XML,
- You're familiar with cryptography and cryptographic protocols.
- You see web application security as your field.
- You are already knowledgeable with respect to network security.
Business Experience:
- Banking knowledge or experience is a plus.
- Experience in large IT organization
