Senior Scala Developer
My client, a leading Energy company based in Antwerp are looking for a Senior Scala Developer to strengthen and complement their outstanding team of developers. You'll be working with their state-of-the-art reactive software stack implementing new features and improvements in the Scala/Java codebase. You will have the opportunity to work on the latest big-data analysis and visualization tools, fine-tune our cloud deployment and monitoring tools, and continue to evolve to stay ahead of competition
Your profile
- Proven industry experience as a Scala developer, preferably with a track record of implementation in complex environments with high reliability and performance standards.
- Must be proficient Java 8 or Scala
- Able to build Restful Applications
- Due to the Nature of the work my client has asked that you have a Master's degree.
Your tasks & responsibilities
- development of mission critical Back End code of the patented solution
- Improve DevOps by continuous improvement of their cloud deployment automation and monitoring
- Explore new tools and frameworks to adopt in the clients technology toolbox
- Experience working on Scala services in a production environment
- Proven experience with micro services
- Practice of test driven development along with mentoring/teaching of this practice to other people in the team
- You will also be building new features in Scala and migrating some of the old features on the new micro services
