Daily rates: TBC (flexible)
Status: Inside IR35
Length of contract: 6 months
Location: Hybrid working/London/Manchester/Bristol
Job Spec:
Implement toolkits and APIs for purposes such as integration, performance optimisation, security and scalability
You can explain the importance of developing process efficiency and the common ways in which processes are optimised.
You can support specific activities to improve development processes. You can spot or identify obvious deficiencies.
You can discuss information security.
You can design solutions and services with security controls Embedded, specifically engineered as mitigation against security threats as a core part of the solutions and services.
Build automated tests to support our continuous deployment environment
Share knowledge of tools and techniques with your wider team, both developers and non-developers
You see prototyping as a team activity, actively soliciting prototypes and testing with others.
You establish design patterns and iterate them.
You know a variety of methods of prototyping and can choose the most appropriate ones.
PERFORMANCE OF TASKS
Key Skills Required
have experience in Back End development, with detailed knowledge of Python, Ruby or Java
understand software design principles
research and learn new programming tools and techniques
take a systematic approach to solving problems
have experience of using testing to validate solutions
understand agile environments and version control
have a basic understanding about web security and accessibility
have an awareness of technologies used for web applications, eg databases, backups, CDNs and search, and of Unix-like operating systems, eg Linux and/or Mac OS
have experience working on, or with web technologies
