Job Purpose and primary objectives:
Functional knowledge of commodity trading and the deal life cycle.
Engage and collaborate with all levels of management in IT and the Business.
Hands-on design and development experience with various technologies applied to strategic solutions in Java and Opensource software.
Expert knowledge and practical development experience with the following technologies:
- Java, Spring, Apache Ignite
- Multi-Threading
- RESTful Web services
- Kerberos on Java
- Windows security
- N-Tier solutions
- Oracle SQL
- AWS Cloud
- VSTS, Jenkins, GIT, Ansible
- Distributed computing
Proficient on both Windows and Linux platforms.
Experience with large-scale enterprise-wide IT environments containing multiple technologies, physical and logical environments.
Experience in developing and deploying factor models, portfolio optimizers and trading valuation algorithms.
Proficiency in statistical modelling and understanding of the various mathematical techniques used.
Background or knowledge in quants, preferably volatile derivatives.
Experience in Agile delivery methodology including continuous integration, unit testing, refactoring, continuous deployment and related approaches.
Experience with DevOps models and tools.
