Big Data Engineer | Leeds | Outside of IR35 |2 Year Project | up to £500pdPeople Source Consulting are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Big Data Engineer to take on a 2 Year project within a Leeds based Government Department.
The role requires a Data Engineer to work on the continuing design, build and commission and test of our clients Big Data Platform.
Essential skills and experience:
* Hadoop / HDFS
* HBase, Kafka, Kerberos, Drools
* Graph DBs
* Big data architecture, Real time data processing, Spark, Storm
* Solr
* Java 8, Algorithms, Data Science, Systems Engineering
* ZooKeeper
* Spring / Spring Boot and spring data rest
* REST
* TDD
* BDD (specifically Cucumber)
* Strong Communications Skills
* Microservices architecture
* Experience working within a Scrum team and be familiar with
* CI development techniques and environments.
Ideal candidates will also have:
* Postgres
* Apache Camel, Knox, Ranger
* Enterprise Integration Patterns
* Kubernetes
* Docker
* Ansible, Terraform
* JIRA
* Confluence
In return, my client is offering an outside of IR35 daily rate of up to £500pd on a 2 year contract basis.
This is a highly favourable contract role, offering longevity, competitive rates and outside IR35 rates. For the right candidate this is an excellent 2 year block of work within a hugely reputable government department.
