Senior Java Developer-
Description
- Review business requirements, identifying high risk and/or costly requirements;
- Ensure functional and non-functional requirements such as security and performance are met by the system's architecture and liaise with the stakeholders where necessary;
- Analyse candidate architectures in order to design and conduct proof of concepts and prototypes, validating that the proposed solution architecture meets the functional and non-functional requirements using existing components of EMA's reference architecture or, if necessary, introducing new ones;
- Co-operate with data architects on the feasibility of logical and physical data models;
- Design, communicate and document solution architecture, including as-is/to-be system designs, development and deployment views, satisfying functional and non-functional requirements and complying with EMA's Enterprise Architecture standards;
- Lead the decision making process for the necessary solution architecture decisions and ensure they are justified and documented;
- Co-operate with project manager and define and estimate work packages and allocate resources according to their skills for project work;
- Present solution architecture to Enterprise Architecture Board and address resulting actions;
- Actively participate in software implementation phase according to defined requirements, including user interface design and application security aspects, in compliance with agreed project planning;
- Ensure the delivery of good quality software product
- Capacity to assist with the evaluation and testing of products delivered by external system suppliers to ensure that they conform to requirements and technical standards.

- Experience in managing interactions between the development team and other stakeholders (system administrators / technical operators, testers, support teams, analysts, management, business, etc.).
Qualifications
- Min.9 years of experience in IT (higher studies + professional IT experience)
- Third level qualification in Computer Science or other areas relevant to the role are desirable
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ISEB/ISTQB, TOGAF, Oracle/Java Architect, IBM Professional Certification, CBIP/Oracle for Data Warehouse & BI domain or other Solution Architecture Certification are desirable
Min. 6 years of working experience :
- In JAVA, Spring, Camel, J2EE, SQL, Oracle Database, XML, JavaScript, Hibernate
- Ability to use the development tools such as Sybase Power Designer is desirable.
Min. 3 years of working experience :
- messaging solutions using Java technologies JMS (Weblogic or equivalent: e.g. ActiveMQ), Camel (or equivalent which implements the EIP patterns: Spring integration, Mule) (3 years);
- Java 7 solutions (or higher) using JPA, JTA and the Spring framework (3 years);
- REST solutions using JAX-RS (3 years);
- Solutions deployed to weblogic application server or other JEE 6 application server and Oracle database: Oracle SQL (12c), Oracle PL/SQL (12c) (3 years);
- Working in projects following Agile principles and specifically using Test Driven Development (3years)
Desirable:
- Continuous integration (Jenkins/Maven/Nexus/Sonar) (2 years);
- Weblogic configuration and maintenance (1 year experience).
