Description

Process Automation Developer (Python) - Dublin based - 6 month contract - €550 per day

Our client, a large financial institution based in Dublinare looking for a talented Python developer to join a new Dublin team to work on the research, design and implementation of emerging technologies to solve use cases across the GBAM Process Automation programme. The emerging technology portfolio varies from RPA, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tools to machine learning platforms.

The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the SDLC which will include use case assessment, tool selection and integration with existing bank applications. Another key responsibility will involve the data platform maturation and strategy.

We are building a team with a mind-set that prioritizes automation, quality engineering and teamwork. We have an established agile organization culture in which all change is delivered by groups of small, multi-skilled teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field.

Skills:

  • Experience with Automation tools such - Workfusion, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, RAGE UiPath, IBM Watson, Microsoft (Cognitive), or other AI tools & platforms.
  • 5+ years of professional Java or Python programming.
  • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
  • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong inclination towards learning latest RPA, ML and AI technologies.
  • Financial Service background or experience preferred.
  • Highly motivated with strong analytical acumen and problem-solving skills.

Competencies:

  • Prior exposure to topics such as - Smart Process Automation; Design Thinking; and Lean Process Modelling is desirable.
  • Passion for digital technologies, ability to experiment with them, and aptitude to craft POCs and pilot use cases with leading automation platforms is desirable.
  • Certification in RPA tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of one or more areas - process optimization, re-engineering, analytics, along with domain knowledge in one or more functions at a Financial Services firm. eg Trade processing & settlement or Claims processing, etc.
  • Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in executing programs using Agile methodologies.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross-functional agile team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary.
