We have partnered with one of the leading banking groups and they are currently in need of a Java Architect for an initial 1-year contract to be based in Utrecht.

Your role
Within our team of performance and automation experts you will help design and evolve our solution for performance engineering in CI/CD pipelines. Automation of test but also the gathering of everything relevant for the DevOps teams. One dashboard where a devops team can see what they should focus on. With your many years of experience in developing Java applications you also help the endusers pointing out in what is relevant.
For that you have expertise in software architecture and code quality. You are the one that colleagues turn to for difficult questions considering performance.
Furthermore you have the following strong experience with:
* Designing architecture
* Java 8 and higher
* Maven, Jenkins
* Performance tuning:
o using tools such as MAT, VisualVM, Dynatrace, TDA, GCMV, VisualGC
o garbage collection tuning for gencon, balanced, G1, CMS, Shenandoah
o Java heap analysis, memory leaks and efficiency
o app Servers, such as WebSphere and Tomcat
* Java EE
* Angular, HTML 5, Javascript, CSS3
* Spring framework and SpringBoot
* Cloud: PCF, Azure and AzureDevops
* Web: using developer tools in Chrome and IE
And preferably experience and knowledge of:
* Load testing B22using jMeter, Gatling or Microfocus LoadRunner
* CI/CD tools and concepts (pref. AzureDevops)
* Monitoring solutions such as Splunk, Dynatrace,
* Linux/Windows OS (performance related)
* Micro services concepts
* Docker
* Golang, Bash, Groovy
* Grafana, InfluxDB
* Javascript, Typescript and Angular
* Design patterns
