Description
Our client a leading IT solutions provider are seeking to recruit a Java and or Scala Developer for an initial 3-6 months contract > £475/day max Inside IR35
Fundamental Tasks
*Code in Java and Scala;
*Create solutions using AWS SaaS and PaaS services such as Batch, ECS, Athena, Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS and Step;
*Create automated tests, continuous integration and continuous deployments;
*Participate in team design sessions and occasional mob programming events;
*Adapt and learn new technologies as required (eg Azure, AWS technologies)
Date of delivery
This will be a 3-6 month contract.
Essentials
*Substantial and varied experience as a Java and/or Scala developer;
*Strong software engineering practices (automated testing, deployments etc.)
Desirables
*AWS (strongly desired)
*Python
*Gradle
*Terraform
*Azure DevOps
*Experience of geospatial software development
Hours
Normally a 5-day week, 8 hrs per day.
