Blockchain Developer - Finance
We are partnered with a Bank who are looking for a number of Blockchain Developers to join a new project, based in their Edinburgh offices.
IR35 Status - Inside
Responsbillities
- Research, design, develop, and test DLT/Blockchain technologies
- Brainstorm and help evaluate applications for new tools and technologies as they continually evolve
- Maintain and extend current client- and Server Side applications responsible for integration and business logic
- Be involved in the global DLT/Blockchain community-work on implementing and integrating the latest improvement proposals
- Document new solutions as well as maintaining that of existing ones
- Orchestration Development skills using products like Ansible, Puppet
Essential Technical Skills
- Solid experience of working in a high-pressure, large-scale, global environment.
- Strong software development background
- Proficiency in one of the following languages: C++, Java, JavaScript, Corda {{ Depending on the project }}
- Strong knowledge of common algorithms and data structures
- Familiarity with cryptography
- Familiarity with P2P networks
- Strong knowledge of DLT/Blockchains like r3; Hyperledger; Ethereum
- Experience working with large codebases
- Experience working with open-source projects
- Strong knowledge of concurrency and writing efficient and safe multithreaded code
