You MUST have the following:
- Advanced level as a Java Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer
- Strong Java microservices
- Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Azure
- Excellent ability to collaborate and manage the expectations of stakeholders
- Agile
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- Strong knowledge in complex, corporate-level data solutions (eg SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- gRPC, Kubernetes, Docker
- Spark, Redshift, Apache Ni-Fi
- Finance, banking, investment management, asset manager
Role: Java Developer (Software Engineer Programmer Java Developer SQL Server PostgreSQL MySQL Oracle Java Python Amazon Web Services AWS GCP Google Cloud Azure Microservices CI/CD DevOps Spark Redshift Apache Ni-Fi gRPC Kubernetes K8s Lambda ECS ALB API Gateway Finance Banking Investment Management Asset Manager Hedge Fund) required by our asset management client in London. You will be a senior Java developer in a new team based in London and the US, with three other new hires in London and two new hires in New York. The objective of the team will be to create a centralised, next generation data distribution platform that will deliver Real Time investment data for distributed trading and research platforms. The company has aggressively adopted Amazon Web Services (AWS), so everything will be hosted in AWS. They are progressive with an excellent technology budget, meaning the latest tools in this area will be used such as Spark, Redshift and Apache Ni-Fi.
You will work on this greenfield project from inception, including design and then delivery over the next 12-18 months. The technology stack is Java, AWS, SQL, PostgreSQL, Spark, RedShit, Apache Ni-Fi, Oauth, Apigee, Swagger, Docker, GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, gRPC, Kubernetes, ECS, LOambda, ALB and API Gateway. Finance is desirable but not essential.
