Description

For an end client of Arrows Group, I am searching for experienced candidates to join the telecom team working remotely on a contract basis.

The Tech Lead is the person we trust in, and to whom we delegate the technical authority of a given scope. The Tech Lead works in conjunction with the Team, Engineering Manager, and stakeholders in order to produce technical solutions, that are fit to purpose, scalable and reliable. It requires creativity, technical knowledge, decision making, as well as strategic vision.

Iterates with the customer (internal and external) and other stakeholders to determine the technical requirements.
Designs and presents solutions in documents and workshops. For the solution identifies the impacts, efforts and the resources needed.
Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends tech solutions and best practices.
Leads the team's engineers by example, acting as a mentor in the engineering craft.
Participates in recruitment activities to engage and select candidates matching our criteria.
Establishes and maintains high quality engineering standards.
Keeps the other engineers engaged with the technologies we are working with.
Evolves the engineering maturity to be on par with the non-functional and functional state-of-the-art.
Drives customer-centric, global scale architecture and implementation within the team.
Communicates transparently to the whole business.
Reaches out to other teams and works towards alignment and overall continuous improvement.
Acts as a beacon of excellence and as an employee of reference, mentoring junior colleagues.

Position Competencies

Track record of having past team members referring as a technical leader.
Proven experience in developing and operating scalable and resilient systems in an effectively distributed ecosystem (especially in a Telco vendor or operator environment)
Strong experience with Java or other relevant Object-Oriented development language.
Strong experience working and troubleshoot with REST, SOAP, XML APIs to integrate data and business processes.
Solid knowledge of networking principles & protocols, including security.
Experience in Telecom, IT and/or Engineering (especially in EPC, with P-GW, ePDG, RADIUS, DNS, OCS, PCRF, HLR/HSS, as well as IMS)
Experience in network protocols like MAP, CAMEL, SIGTRAN, DIAMETER, SIP, RADIUS, DNS
Experience with VoLTE and VoWiFi
Experience with EPS and PCC architectures, and the effective use of Deep Packet Inspection in service control
Familiar with Mobile Core Networks (PS, EPC, 5G-SA and 5G-NSA) and its architecture
Experience with IP, NAT, MPLS, OSPF and BGP
Experience with corporate VPN solutions, such as IPsec, L2TP, GRE, and MPLS VPNs
Business oriented, capable to engage and discuss with non-technical persons in order to create technical requirements.
Understands how big-picture goals inform technical details and vice-versa.
Able to anticipate needs. Anticipates problems and addresses them before they cause impact.
Strong and confident technical decision making.
Ability to work in complex environments (multi-cultural/multi-country/geographically distributed teams).
