Senior Java Developer
We are seeking a number of Senior Java Developers to join a brand new team at JP Morgan in Glasgow on an initial 6 months contract. Ideally you will have strong core Java experience with Front End skills React or Angular being highly desirable. You will also have the opportunity to convert to permanent longer term if this is of interest.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Essential Skills:
- Java 1.8 or above
- Cloud experience - ideally AWS
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
- Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
- Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
- Experience using open-source Java-based frameworks and tools including Apache, Spring, Hibernate, Core Java, J2EE, Design Patterns, programming and design techniques
Desirable Skills:
- UI experience using React or Angular JS - highly desirable
- Experience with SOAP Web Service, REST, web development experience with focus on rich UI component development, JavaScript MVC based frameworks and HTML5.
- Experience with Core JAVA with focus on Multithreading, data structures, MAVEN JIRA, GIT and CI Tools.
- Experience with Messaging, XML and Integration patterns.
- Eperience with BDD - Gherkin, Cucumber, Selenium
- Experience with CI/CD - Jenkins Build Pipelines
*Due to the current pandemic you will be required to work remotely, using your own device, until further notice. You may be required to come into the office once safe to do so but likely to only be 2 -3 days per week or 1 week in - 1 week remote although could be less frequent.*
