Description
We are currently partnering with a global communications, services, and solutions company in their search for a passionate Android engineer who has led the development of complex consumer facing or enterprise applications.You will be working alongside talented product managers, software engineers and UX/interface designers. You will be contributing at the highest level to software's design and architecture. You will be responsible for writing automated tests, coding, software configuration and writing documentation. You will help facilitate and improve the Agile process.
The role:
Implementing favourable, responsive layouts that work across the entire Android ecosystem
Developing, documenting, and supporting our in-flight entertainment Android SDK
Writing software in Java and Kotlin
Writing unit tests for any complex logic
Writing automated user interaction tests
Working within your favourite IDE
Contributing to our shared DevOps culture by improving our CI/CD pipelines
Opportunities to work on full-stack development
Contributing to our design and software development life-cycles
Engineering contact for a designated customer
Have you:
Experience working within cross-functional delivery teams, collaborating across: UX, Service Delivery, Product Engineering, Support Ops.
5 years professional experience in a related job using an Agile software life cycle including TDD, pair programming, short release cycles
Experience developing and supporting Android SDKs with associated documentation
Good understanding of web Java Back End development on the Spring stack
Experience with Android automated UI testing
Expert knowledge of Java, Kotlin, native Android development frameworks like WebView, OO, testing approaches, software and UX design patterns
