Devops Engineer(senior) 6 month contractA great opportunity has opened for a Senior Devops Engineer to work for one of UK's Leading retail companies based in north Yorkshire. They are currently undergoing a number of exciting projects and businesses changes, thus needing to add a highly skilled Senior Devops Engineer.
You will be working very closely with the development team, DBA and other Sysadmins and project/programme managers in an extremely cross-functional team which as you can imagine has a lot of fun in the work place but know when to get down to work hard. You will be focusing on the infrastructure and operational elements of designing and deploying a service.
Rate: £400 p/d
Length: 6 months
Location: North Yorkshire

Job role:
To Support, operate/maintain highly available, robust, resilient & supportable solutions and ensure a streamlined/automated application deployment. Backup and recovery best practices to be used for prevention of data loss. Performance, Monitoring and Availability: Work with development and QA team to build a set of Performance benchmarks, and test each new release of core applications against these benchmarks. Develop and utilize performance and capacity management KPI's for proactive management of large distributed infrastructure environment.
