Description
Hybris Software Engineer - Hybris/Java/J2EE required on an initial 3-6 month contract for a leading E-commerce solutions provider located in the North West.
You will be responsible for Develop and deliver quality code/configuration solutions, which adhere to Company standards and meet customer requirements. Ensure appropriate documentation of code, in order to knowledge share with project team members. Interrogate customer systems as required to clarify customer requirements, demonstrate (eg web development) that differing solutions/options have been considered. Liaise with customer systems teams as required. Develop test scripts and undertake testing activity for code once developed to validate integrity. Demonstrate various testing methodology eg unit tests, integration tests, performance tests - transactions per second, volume tests hits. Identify appropriate methodology in line with task requirements eg hybrid, waterfall, agile or a mixture. Provide regular status updates to Technical Team Lead. Adhere to project methodology in line with standards and guidelines.
The ideal candidate will come from a recent background as a Hybris Developer with strong knowledge of Java & J2EE core API experience, Spring Framework version 3.x experience. Exposure to technologies such as Bean Validation, JSTL and REST/SOAP Web Services. OO Design Experience with UML. Familair with Agile methodologies (RUP, Scrum, TDD, RAD). Hands on configuration of web Servers and application containers (Tomcat, JBoss, GlassFish, WebSphere, WebLogic).
