We are actively recruiting Freelance Java Developers ideally experienced with Spring Boot JavaScript.
You will need to understand best-practice patterns for RESTful web services and have strong technical skills to help deliver extensive government reform programme to deliver end-to-end digital services for users and help ease the process
What we need
We're looking for pragmatic Java Software Engineers with strong technical skills to help deliver these interesting and challenging projects. You'll be happy to work on both software development and infrastructure as code. You will also be keen to collaborate with business analysts and product owners to evolve high quality user stories.
We are looking at using a variety of modern technologies including Java 8, Spring Boot, cloud native services and microservices implemented as 12-factor apps.
Technically, you will
Have excellent knowledge of Java 8
Significant experience with Spring Boot
Ideally have some experience with JavaScript and node.js
Write clean code and clear tests
Facilitate and apply principles for continuous delivery
Design resilient, scalable and secure services
Understand best-practice patterns for RESTful web services
Sometimes pair program and often share knowledge
Ideally, have used Docker
As a senior developer you will
Have previously worked in an agile, cross-functional team
Help refine product roadmaps and user stories
Be skilled in collaborative problem solving
