Description
Working for a Global Managed Service Provider this position requires an experienced Ruby engineer to develop and administer custom Ruby applications to support the Service Management function. Working alongside service process owners to define requirements and then troubleshoot and provide guidance for enhancements.
Required Skills:
- Proficient with development in Ruby and other web programming languages
- Experience creating user-friendly websites and end-user portals
- Experience gathering user requirements and writing design documents, participating in joint development sessions, and writing and executing unit and system tests
Desired Skills:
- Experience with XML data
- Java development experience
- Experience with SharePoint, Remedy, SQL Server, SSRS, and related products
- Experience with Active Directory, authentication, and Single-Sign-On solutions
- Experience working in a Microsoft Windows Server environment
- Ability to understand the "big picture" and to identify and resolve key issues
- Strong sense of ownership and commitment
