Description
Senior Java Developer - Stirling up to £500 p/dayLeading investment bank requires a Senior Devlopment sepcialist to join an exisiting team which is responsible for a large portfolio of systems and:
- Undertake development tasks assigned by the Project Manager or Team Leader, including contributing to the development of software associated with rules driven surveillance solutions and associated data feed processing.
- Ensure that development is undertaken in line with continuous integration / delivery philosophies and that code quality standards and processes are adhered to.
- Provide guidance and assistance to other team members that may be less experienced in Java development.
- Provide BAU Support (3rd Line) for the Production system.
- Contribute to code releases, raising Change Requests, providing training where required to Support Staff and being involved in the implementation.
As many of the following as possible - Key Skills:
Must have experience of trading/trade feeds/trade data
Core Java, JDBC, JPA, Hibernate, Spring integration (Core/MVC/AOP/Batch/Security), Control-M, XML, JSON, JAXB, JMS/MQ, SOAP/REST, JQuery/ExtJS, GIT/Subversion/ClearCase/RTC, Linux/Bash shell/Python, Maven/Jenkins/Bamboo, Sybase and Oracle PL/SQL, JUnit/Mockito/JMock/JMockit
Banking/finance expeirence is NOT essential.
Location: Stirling
Rate: Up to £500p/day
Start: ASAP (can wait 4 weeks)
Duration: 6 or 12 months initial, scope for multiple extensions
