WebSphere Engineer / Investment Bank / Contract / London / £450 - £450 per dayMy Client, a top tier investment bank, is looking for a WebSphere engineer required to build and maintain an in house portal services for the UK, Europe and the Middle East to work in their expanding team based in London.
My client is looking for the following skills and knowledge:
- Minimum 3 years WebSphere Application Server and/or WebSphere Portal experience version 6.* or higher.
- Solid understanding and experience in a UNIX environment
- Understanding of J2EE
- Experience of Java, Web technologies and WebSphere Portal
- Famililiarity of scripting languages such as Python, Perl and Shell
- Proven experience of building WAS/WP services in development environments followed by the rolling out of these services to production services for high availability services.
- Excellent priority management and a willingness to take ownership with a can do approach even under pressure.
- Analytical and logical thinking is essential
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to work at weekends if required
Desirable;
- LDAP or Active Directory experience
- BPM knowledge
